Mr Zhou Yimin
Associate Professor, Department of Architecture

Before joining NUS, Mr Zhou Yimin worked at the Singapore Public Service and at the World Bank Group, leading projects that shaped urban strategies and development policies in both Singapore and developing countries. His work also focused on strengthening partnerships between the public sector and academia in applied research on topics such as smart cities, digital transformation, the future of mobility, and complexity science. He has an academic background in Urban Planning and Geographic Information Systems, and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Tencent Institute (from 2020 to 2021) and a Fellow of the International Visitor Leadership Program under the U.S. Department of State (2022).

Dr Liu Xingyu
Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Dr Liu Xingyu received his BEng degree from Tsinghua University and his MS and PhD degrees from Stanford University where he was advised by Professor Jeannette Bohg. He was a postdoctoral scholar at Carnegie Mellon University where he worked with Professor Ding Zhao, Professor Deepak Pathak and Professor Kris Kitani. Prior to joining NUS, he spent one year at Skild AI, a robotics startup founded by Professor Deepak Pathak and Professor Abhinav Gupta. His research interest is at the intersection of robotics, machine learning and computer vision. His research works have been recognised with a Best Paper Award Finalist at CVPR 2022, a Best Demo Award Finalist at RoboSoft 2024, and are covered by media outlets such as Scientific American and ACM Tech News.

Ms Fatin Nurdiyana Binte Kadir
Senior Executive, NUS Cities, Dean’s Office

Fatin brings extensive experience in event management, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination, having worked with organisations such as the National Heritage Board, the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and Singapore Polytechnic International. With a solid foundation in communications and a proven track record in executing large-scale festivals and international conferences, she thrives in dynamic environments. She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences and looks forward to collaborating with the team to make a lasting impact in her new role.

 Ms Hong Heng Leng Sheryl
Senior Executive, Office of Graduate Programmes, Dean’s Office

As a Senior Executive, Sheryl will manage Continuing Education and Training (CET) and coursework matters in Dean’s Office (Office of Graduate Programmes). She is not new to CDE as was previously with Department of the Built Environment. She looks forward to working with various stakeholders to deliver key outcomes.

Retirement

Mr Philip Tay Keng Huat, Senior Project Manager, Department of Architecture, last day of service on 31 March 2025.

The Department of Architecture would like to express our well wishes and acknowledge the hard work of Mr Philip Tay Keng Huat as he retires at the end of March 2025. Philip has been serving as a Senior Project Manager since 2005 and has helped the Department oversee facilities management both within the Department and our conservation related property in Malacca as well as championing safety and health-related matters. We wish him all the best in his retirement.
