Self-Guided Tour

Interested to explore CDE campus to learn more about the learning facilities, useful amenities and recreational spaces used by our students? Take part in this self-guided tour which will take you to the key locations in CDE.  

This tour takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and can be done at your own leisure time. There are 15 locations for you to visit listed below.

How do I take a self-guided tour of the campus?

1. Download the CDE Self-Guided tour brochure here.

2. To move between each location, you will be able to choose your preferred route. The routes are:

Quick Route: a short-cut unsheltered route which may require stairs to the checkpoints.

Stairs-free Route: a stairs-free route option which is mostly unsheltered. There are some stair-free routes indicated in the map below which are unsheltered, so do bring along an umbrella in case of a rainy day!

3. Click on the tour route option in the brochure for each checkpoint which will provide navigation and photos to find your way to the checkpoint!

4. Upon arriving, select in the brochure to learn more about the checkpoint.

5. Continue on to the next checkpoint!

Learning Spaces

Checkpoint 1: Engineering Auditorium (EA) Atrium

EA is one of the key locations for CDE students to study and gather.

Checkpoint 2: Innovation & Design Hub

The Innovation & Design Hub hosts learning spaces and resources for students from the Innovation & Design Programme (CDE second major or minor) including the Sandbox, iLounge, Tinkering Corner and Media Room.

Checkpoint 3: LT7

Visit the largest lecture theatre in CDE!

Checkpoint 5: E3 Amenities

At E3 Level 6, you will find study spaces and useful amenities to get your essentials.

  • Active Learning Rooms
  • The Common Ground
  • Cheers Convenience Store
  • Vending & Printing Machines

Checkpoint 6: E4 Amenities

E4 Level 4 consists of more study spaces and F&B options. You can also learn more about CDE student clubs here!

  • E-Cubes

Checkpoint 7: E2A Engineering Design & Innovation Centre

E2A hosts workshops and studios for the Innovation & Design Programme and Master of Science in Engineering Design & Innovation (MSc EDI).

  • Immersive Reality Lab

Checkpoint 11: SDE3 Architecture Studio and Exhibition Space

The Architecture Studio and Exhibition Space offers new workshops, maker spaces and digital design facilities for students from the Architecture and Landscape Architecture programme to utilize for their learning.

Checkpoint 13: SDE4 Design Incubation Centre & Forum

The Design Incubation Centre (DIC) is part of the Division of Industrial Design (DID). With the mission to incubate ideas and projects, DIC supports undergraduates and from DID to bring their projects to reality.

The Forum is an informal lecture theatre where creative minds collaborate, create and disrupt.

Checkpoint 14: SDE4 Information Resource Centre

The Information Resource Centre (IRC) is a repository of academic and research knowledge, vital to the growth and support of CDE’s curriculum.

Checkpoint 8: E1 Pitstop@CDE

Relax, recharge, hang out with friends and play games at Pitstop@CDE! This space is bookable for CDE students to enjoy.

Checkpoint 9: Techno Edge

Techno Edge offers more F&B options such as Starbucks, LiHO Tea and Techno Edge canteen. There are also recreational spaces for students to enjoy!

Green Spaces

Checkpoint 10: SDE1 Courtyard

Visit the Courtyard Garden at SDE1 for a visual relief of the greenery and tropical vegetation.

Checkpoint 12: SDE4 Open Plaza

SDE4, operational since 2019 is the first new-build net-zero energy building in South-East Asia. SDE4 is the first of a new generation of smart, safe and sustainable buildings.

Checkpoint 15: SDE4 Rainwater Harvester

Learn more about the interesting features of the rainwater harvester and how it contributes to the water needs of SDE4!
