This book is the second volume of the ‘FOOD, SHELTER, and LANDSCAPE’ series, documenting the process from site analysis, prototyping, to design development. It addresses raised problems and diverse perceptions, the development of design forms, and the ultimate vision of 600,000 dwellers in Baseco. The fourteen-week diary is a useful demonstration of how initial field researches can be transformed into viable design proposals. This is the beginning of a long journey to enhance the living quality of low-income urban dwellers, and we are part of this equation in maintaining the advance towards self-sustainable everyday life.
