DTK2234 Advanced Design Thinking

The Advanced Design Thinking course explores Design Thinking emphasizing on creativity, innovation, and critical reflection. Through projects and theoretical discussions, it develops deeper design thinking skillset for designers. The course highlights how design entails a crafted “vocabulary” and sets of “ideas”, which emerge through the weeks as they are presented via the analysis of relevant cases and through selected practical exercises. The course engages questions pertaining the role of technology in the creative process, integrating aspects of media theory it shows how analogue and digital forms of re-presentation are always both, forms of mediation and creation.
