AR5301 Introduction to Geographic Information System (GIS)
Introduction to GIS provides an introduction to geospatial analysis for landscape architecture, urban design, and planning with a focus on utilizing empirical data to inform evidence-based decision-making. Through a combination of theoretical concepts, hands-on exercises, and real-world case studies, students will develop the skills necessary to identify use cases for geospatial analysis, analyse spatial data using open-source tools (QGIS), and synthesize the results to make targeted design recommendations.
