CHING Tuan Yee
Adjunct Associate Professor
Ching Tuan Yee is an urban planner with a passion for capability building, technology, and transformation. He is currently the Director of the Urban Redevelopment Authority's (URA) Design and Planning Lab (DPLab), where he leads science and technology initiatives in the application of data science, geospatial analytics, modelling and simulation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in urban planning and design practice. He has been involved in several of URA's training programmes, including serving as a Director-mentor for the Analytics Immersion Programme (AIM) since 2014. His previous portfolios at URA include leading the planning team for Singapore's East Region and the urban planning and design team for Marina Bay.
Tuan Yee's academic background is in architecture and urban planning. He is a Member of the Singapore Institute of Certified Planners (SICP), a Member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). He currently serves as a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP), is a member of the SICP Accreditation Panel, and also serves as an SICP assessor.
