Tun Tan Cheng Lock Traveling Research Award
We are pleased to invite you to apply for the competitive Tun Tan Cheng Lock Scholarship in Architecture to conduct a study on architectural and urban heritage in a South-East Asian country.
For BA Arch Y3 / M.Arch I & M.Arch II applicants:
Spending part of your time at the Tun Tan Cheng Lock Centre for Asian Architectural and Urban Heritage in Melaka is preferred but not compulsory. One BA (Arch) III student and one M. Arch II.
Submission Criteria
- Statement of purpose, outcome, and how the chosen topic of study on architectural and urban heritage in the Southeast Asian country will support your project.
- Samples of studio work.
- Transcript
- Budget breakdown.
- Trip itinerary. Indicate the trip dates and places you plan to visit.
Submit the above in a maximum 10-page PDF document. The maximum file size is 10 MB.
Deliverables
You are expected to deliver the following after the trip’s completion. The selection committee will discuss and confirm with you the date for the public sharing.
- A public sharing of your research findings.
- A maximum 3-minute video summarising the research findings.
- An A4 digital report.
For PG [M.AArC, MUP, MAUD, MSc. ISD, MLA] & PhD applicants:
Two students will be selected for this award.
