The MAUD & MUP Joint Gradshow presents students’ work from the Master of Arts in Urban Design (MAUD) and the Master of Urban Planning (MUP) programmes, produced during the Academic Year 2024/25.

The work exhibited by students from the MAUD programme—a one-year course—was developed this academic year under the theme “The Resilient City.” In Semester 1, the studio focused on Singapore’s Long Island, while in Semester 2, students explored case studies in Suzhou, Seoul, and Hong Kong/Singapore, investigating strategies for resilient development.

The work presented by MUP students—a two-year programme—showcases three sets of studio projects. Year 1 students present their year-long work focusing on job creation and the housing needs in Singapore’s East Region, specifically Bedok South and Changi Business Park. Year 2 students, our fresh graduates, showcase their concept plans for Singapore’s West Region, its industrial hub (Semester 1), and the ambitious visions for Tebrau Waterfront and Iskandar Gateway in Johor Bahru, Malaysia (Semester 2).

This is a unique opportunity to explore the diverse ideas emerging from the programmes in related fields of urban design, urban planning and landscape architecture.
