A team of 11 fourth year students led by Assistant Professor Shinya Okuda from National University of Singapore, Department of Architecture will join in to light up the Marina Bay waterfront with their installation “Groove Light”.

“Groove Light”, a series of five 3D printed lanterns, will be presented at the i Light Marina Bay from 4 to 27 March. Merging design, geometry and technology, the aesthetic lanterns will produce geometric shadows when light is shone through. By moving the lanterns, visitors can modify the lightscape created by the installation.

Organised by Urban Redevelopment Authority, the fourth edition of the festival will feature more than 20 light art installations from local and international artists around the Marina Bay waterfront promenade.
