Showcasing the strength of urban design education at NUS, our Master of Arts in Urban Design (MAUD) AY2024/25 teams clinched five awards at the 9th SIP Planning Awards — including the Gold Medal, the Silver Medal, and three Special Mentions.

This marks the first time MAUD students have garnered awards on this scale, an exceptional milestone for the programme. The achievement reflects the coordination, teaching, and leadership of MAUD Programme Director Associate Professor Asma Annie Khawatmi, together with the MAUD teaching team: Ar. François Decoster, Adjunct Associate Professor Jason Ang, Adjunct Associate Professor Yu Zhou Li, Visiting Senior Fellow Casey Nai-Huei Wang, Associate Professor Yuming Fu, Assistant Professor Filip Biljecki, Visiting Associate Professor H. Koon Wee, and Ms Siyu Li, underscoring MAUD’s commitment to excellence.
