LAD1001 Design 1

This module is the first core studio introducing students to the primary design language used by all design disciplines—space, form, and functions. Besides common design principles, the course will emphasize the unique role of landscape architecture to shape, modify, and manage ecosystems through sequential exercises. The module will facilitate an in-depth understanding of patterns and characteristics in nature by having students observe, analyse, describe, and interpret urban landscapes with creative conceptualizations and sophisticated representation.
