Master of Architecture (2 Years – Non NUS Students)
APPLICATION TIMELINE (AUG 2027 INTAKE)
There is one intake per academic year. Applications to the Master of Architecture programme for the August 2027 intake open from 1 October 2026 to 28 February 2027. For early consideration, students should aim to submit their applications by 30 November 2026, and outstanding candidates can expect to receive an offer as early as January 2027. Applicants who submit after December 2026 can expect to receive offers in March and April 2027.
While most offers will be made to early applications by March 2027, some may still receive an offer at a later date. The Department takes care to review applications as a cohort and will review all submitted applications together where necessary.
Graduates of the Master of Architecture (M.Arch) programme will have a prerequisite degree for professional registration in Singapore.

ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY
Applicants are required to possess:
- a BA (Arch) Hons accredited degree OR
- a BA (Arch) accredited degree
Applicants must provide proof of accreditation (Form A) by a National Accreditation Board or the Board of Architects of the country of origin; or Board of Architects (Singapore), subjected to approval by the Board of Graduate Studies.
Applicants will be required to submit their academic transcripts and certifications in the application portal.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate their English proficiency by means of TOEFL / IELTS test scores. Applicants may be waived from this requirement if they completed their degree programme taught entirely in English, situated in an English-speaking country, for example (non-exhaustive list) Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, USA.
To meet the English requirement, the minimum score expected is:
- IELTS: A minimum 6.0 overall band score.
- TOEFL iBT (at a test center)/Home Edition: A minimum score of 85 (old score scale) OR 4.5 (updated score scale).
SUBMISSION MATERIALS
All applicants must submit a soft copy of an A4-sized academic design portfolio of undergraduate work (10-20 pages), with complete drawings of each design project, via the application portal. A professional portfolio may be considered only in exceptional cases (e.g., strong professional experience). Applicants are to provide the firm’s verification that the submissions comprise only his/her input. Hardcopy portfolios will no longer be required.
Applicants should submit at least 2 academic referee reports in the application portal.
