Christo Meyer ARB RIBA is an Associate Professor (Practice Track) in the Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore and founder of CHRISTO MEYER WORKS. A UK-registered architect and Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), his work operates at the intersection of architectural practice, design research, and pedagogy, with a particular focus on design-through-making as a mode of inquiry and knowledge production.

Educated at the University of the Free State in South Africa, and London South Bank University and The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in the United Kingdom, Christo brings over two decades of experience spanning professional practice, architectural education, and interdisciplinary research. Prior to joining NUS, he served as Assistant Director for Academics and Fourth Year Coordinator at the International Program in Design and Architecture (INDA), Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. He has also taught and lectured internationally in various capacities, including at The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), the University of Greenwich, the University of Brighton, and the University of Central Lancashire. His students have received numerous awards, commendations, and shortlist nominations at regional and international levels.

Christo's teaching and research investigate how making, representation, and narrative can function as critical architectural methodologies. Through the production of models, drawings, installations, prototypes, and speculative artefacts, his work explores the relationships between culture, memory, materiality, and place, and how these can generate new forms of architectural knowledge and critical engagement with spatial contexts. His projects have been exhibited internationally, including at the RIBA, the London Festival of Architecture, Bangkok Design Week, and The Gopher Hole, and have been presented through major international conferences, publications, and public exhibitions.

Alongside his teaching and research, Christo contributes actively to professional and academic communities. He serves as a Committee Member of the RIBA Singapore Chapter and has coordinated and delivered several international conferences and events for institutions. He also contributes to architectural discourse through writing and regularly serves as a critic, international juror, and reviewer for academic and professional initiatives across the region and beyond.

Research Areas: Design-through-Making (Analogue, Digital and Hybrid), Research by Design, Architectural Pedagogy, Architectural Representation, Narratology, Live and Design-Build Projects, Islands and the Imaginary, and the Global South.
