Sheau Fong recently joined DOA to teach studio works with Master of Arts in Urban Design. Prior to this, she has been involved in teaching part-time at various points with College of Engineering and Design (CDE) since 2009; first with Master of Environmental Management at Centre of Sustainable Asian Cities (CSAC) and later with Master of Urban Planning.

Sheau Fong started her professional career as an architect, obtained her licenses in architecture and landscape design through project works. With Asia’s growth and demand in integrative design, she had worked on projects ranging from feasibility to implementation across large-scale masterplan, commercial, hospitality and tourism, mixed-use and business park. Relatedly, her experience also includes heritage, regeneration, regulatory consultation and community engagement. Notable completed projects include Beijing Financial Street Master Plan, Shanghai Xintiandi Urban Design, Shanghai Yangpu Knowledge Hub Urban Design, Bangalore Global Technology Park and Sydney Birkenhead Point Mixed-Use Development Plan. In her role as principles at AECOM Asia and SOM HK and Shanghai, she has gained expertise in leading international offices based in Asia, with regional works.

Returning home in 2015, Sheau Fong joined development agencies under Singapore Public Service. Her works at Sentosa Development Corporation and Singapore Food Agency provided her the opportunity to focus on advance infrastructure planning which enable large-scale cross-agencies development projects. Such projects include, Sentosa-Brani Master Plan, Singapore Coastal Transformation Plan, Singapore Food Resilience Master Plan.

Sheau Fong obtained her professional degree in architecture from National University of Singapore and her practice license from Board of Architects, Singapore. She sat on professional design panel with URA and steering committees with URA and PUB when serving her public service roles with government development agencies.
