The Education committee leads initiatives aimed at extending learning beyond the

formal curriculum. It organises academic dialogues, workshops, peer-led discussions, and forums that critically engage architectural theory and practice. Through these scholarly endeavours, the committee encourages intellectual exchange and continuous discourse.

03.1 Academic Feedback

Held at the end of the academic year, this feedback session provided a platform for students to share their thoughts on the curriculum, studio environment, and overall learning experience.

What it involved:

– Led by student representatives who facilitated open discussion

– Gathered feedback from across the cohort on topics such as:

a> Workload and time management

b> Module structure and coordination

c> Studio culture and peer collaboration

– Faculty members attended to listen, respond, and take note of key concerns

The session aimed to foster transparency and dialogue between students and staff, emphasising the value of collective reflection in shaping a more thoughtful, inclusive, and responsive architectural education.

The Career Fair connects students with industry professionals and opportunities across design, planning, and sustainability.

03.3 Inter-School Collaborative Workshop

The Inter-School Collaborative Workshop provides students with dedicated time to work with peers from other institutions on shared design challenges.

What to expect:

– Collaborate across schools on shared boundary or design projects

– Participate in experimental workshops such as kit bashing, model-making, and rapid prototyping

– Engage in focused work sessions with opportunities for peer feedback

– Present ideas and outcomes through pin-up sessions to receive constructive critique

– Develop teamwork, creative problem-solving, and cross-institutional collaboration skills

The event encourages experimentation, hands-on making, and collaborative exploration within a structured yet creative environment.
