The Architecture Society (TAS)

01 Welfare

The Welfare committee is dedicated to fostering student well-being through structured support and initiatives. It focuses on mental health, personal development, and creating inclusive spaces. The committee responds to student concerns proactively, implementing programs designed to sustain a balanced and supportive academic community.

01.1 Welfare Pack Distribution

The Welfare Pack Distribution is an initiative created to bring a little joy and support to students during busy or stressful periods in the semester.

What it’s about:

– A semesterly giveaway of thoughtfully curated welfare packs

– Filled with snacks, drinks, and essentials to keep students energised

– Sometimes includes fun extras like vouchers, stationery, or small gifts

– Limited packs available — so it’s always something to look forward to!

It’s our way of reminding everyone to take a breather and care for themselves amid studio deadlines and design critiques.

01.2 TAS Green Corner

The Green Corner is an initiative that creates a dedicated space for upcycling and sharing unused materials within the architecture community.

What it aims to do:

– Encourage students and architects to donate or exchange surplus materials

– Foster a culture of sharing, sustainability, and mutual support

– Reduce material wastage by promoting creative reuse in design projects

By transforming what was once unused into something valuable for someone else, The Green Corner builds a community rooted in resourcefulness, environmental awareness, and care for our shared space.

01.3 TAS Excohesion
