Congratulation to our CEE students Gao Yangyunzhi,in picture (PHD Student), Teo Hao Jun (CVE4 student) and Wang Huan (311 student) for receiving the Singapore Concrete Institute’s Young Innovators Award 2022 (Gold Prize) for their entry titled “Reinforcement Methods and Durability Studies on 3D Concrete Printing”. A novel reinforcing method in 3D concrete printing process was proposed to solve the bottleneck about the structural application of 3D concrete printing. This method could be transformed into a fully automated process based on its simplicity in technique and flexibility in time window.
The team was mentored by Dr. Du Hongjian, Senior Lecturer received the gold prize represented by Mr Gao Yangyunzhi, during the 44th Annual Gala Dinner, 18th Nov 2022.
The Young Innovators Award aims to recognize the contribution of young innovators to improve productivity in the field of building or civil engineering practices.
