Biography
Dr Ng Hsiao Piau is the Director of the Data and Performance Division and Chief Data Officer at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). Previously, he served as Director at the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Built Environment Research and Innovation Institute (BERII), leading the Advanced Construction & Innovation Planning Department (ACIPD) to drive science and technology (S&T) planning, technology roadmaps, and research, innovation, and enterprise (RIE) programmes. Hsiao Piau holds a Ph.D. and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard University, receiving both the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (PhD) and the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (Post-Doc) in recognition of his academic excellence and research contributions.
