The Terms of Reference of the IAB are

To foster closer relationships and cooperation with the private and public sectors.
To provide a mechanism for regular exchange of views relating to the long-term planning and development of the Department in both teaching and research.
To advise the CEE Department on promoting Civil, Environmental & Sustainability Engineering, translational research, curriculum and industrial training matters.
To advise on continuing education training and professional activities to enhance the standards and standing of the civil & environmental engineering profession.
To review regularly new and existing undergraduate and postgraduate programme proposals to provide endorsement or recommendations on the job roles for graduates, knowledge and skills to succeed in said job roles and course curriculum and objectives for alignment with the needed knowledge and skills and job role.
