The Terms of Reference of the IAB are

To foster closer relationship and cooperation with private and public sector.
To provide a mechanism for regular exchange of views relating to the long term planning and development of the Department in both teaching and research.
To advise CEE Department on promotion of civil & environmental engineering, translational research, curriculum and industrial training matters.
To advise on continuing education training and professional activities so as to enhance the standards and standing of the civil & environmental engineering profession.
To review regularly new and existing undergraduate and postgraduate programme proposals to provide endorsement or recommendations on the job roles for graduates, knowledge and skills to succeed in said job roles and course curriculum and objectives for alignment with the needed knowledge and skills and job role.
