Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Energy & Chemicals
Programme Objective
As we currently stare right in the face of the impacts of climate change and global warming, it is evident that traditional pathways to fuels, chemicals and commodities needs to be redesigned to ensure sustainability in its production, use and recycle treatment. Many industries are currently committed to transform their business and products to a sustainable model and engineers with the skills and training in technologies for decarbonization, sustainable production and renewable energy systems will be well-positioned to take on lead technical roles in such industries.
Candidates will be able to learn the principles and techniques in renewable energy systems, green chemical production, decarbonization, and other useful and important innovations in Chemical Engineering, relating to sustainable design and process development.
Upon completion, candidates who performed well may also have the opportunity to admit into a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (M.Sc. CHE) or Master of Science in Energy Systems (M.Sc. ES) programme.
This programme is open to graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Technology.
Programme Content
This graduate certificate programme is hosted by NUS Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering to provide new knowledge, skills and outlook of the current technological advancement in sustainable process development for energy, chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals and etc.
