Two Assistant Professors from NUS Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (Drs. Sergey Kozlov and Wang Lei) were awarded with the Singapore NRF Fellowship (Class of 2021, total number of recipients: 13).

The Fellowship from National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore provides five-year research grants (up to S$3 million each) to early career researchers to develop breakthrough technologies in Singapore. Dr. Kozlov’s project aims to rationally design new catalysts with the aid of molecular simulation methods. Dr. Wang plans to develop better electrocatalytic processes in his project for transforming carbon dioxide (CO2) into fuels and valuable chemicals. Both projects are expected to contribute to combating climate change through CO2 reduction.
