Professor Wang Chi-Hwa from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), received the Long Service Medal, a Singapore National Day Award. Prof. Wang has served in the department for more than 25 years and made outstanding contributions to its education, research and services.
Prof. Wang’s recent teaching achievements have been recognized by the Teaching Commendation List, Faculty of Engineering, NUS (2017). His current research interests include particle technology, biomass gasification, and waste to energy and resource. The recent Research Awards he received include AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) Shell Thomas Baron Award (2018) and WSSET (World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies) Award 2017. Prof. Wang has also provided services to many committees within NUS and the global Chemical Engineering Community. He is a AIChE Fellow, a WSSET Fellow, and the Executive Editor for Chemical Engineering Science (Elsevier, 2013 – present). His services to AIChE have been recognized by AIChE Shining Star Award 2016.
