Professor Chi-Hwa Wang has been nominated to become a Fellow of the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies UK (WSSET  https://www.wsset.org/) recognizing his contributions to the science and technology of relevance to waste to energy. The nomination was strongly supported by the members of the Executive Committee of WSSET.  WSSET is non-profit Society which was established in 2002.  In 2018 The Right Honourable Lord John Prescott was appointed as Honorary President of WSSET. The Society has an important role in consolidating practical partnerships between academic and industrial organisations, as well as addressing issues of climate change and promoting wide-scale application of sustainable technologies.
