BIM Immersion and Competition 2018 – Department of the Built Environment

Building Information Modelling (BIM) Immersion and Competition (2018), is an annual event organized by National University of Singapore in collaboration with different universities and BIM software vendors, to enhance opportunities for students to learn and explore the real-life usage of BIM authoring tools. 14 students from Project and Facilities Management course were selected to participate in this event, organized at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan from 10th Dec to 15th Dec 2018. During the event, a BIM competition was organized where students from the universities took part. One of the teams from NUS showed exemplary performance and won the Overall Best Design Award (Team). Congratulations, Professor Chandra Sekhar and Associate Professor Tham Kwok Wai, on the publication of their article in the prestigious Science Journal! They were part of a team of international scientists led by Professor Lidia Morawska, Queensland University of Technology, Australia, who published an article calling for mandating indoor air quality (IAQ) standards in public buildings.
