Details of University level medal/prizes

Mr Kong Mun Kwong donated an endowed gift of $150,000 to award at least one merit-based scholarship annually to a student who has completed at least 20 Units and not more than 80 Units in the BEng (Infrastructure and Project Management) or BSc (Project and Facilities Management) programme. The scholarship, valued at $6,000 per year, is to be awarded with effect from AY2012/13. It is tenable for two years, subject to the student’s academic progress.

NUS Department of the Built Environment (Building) alumni donated an endowed gift in excess of $150,000 to award at least ONE (1) merit-based scholarship per Academic Year to Year One student(s) in the BEng (Infrastructure and Project Management) or BSc (Project and Facilities Management) Programme. The Scholarship, valued at $6,000 per Academic Year, is to be awarded with effect from AY2018/2019. It is tenable for two years, subject to the student’s academic progress.

Mr Goh Yeow Lian, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Wee Hur Holdings Limited, donated an endowed gift of $150,000 to award at least ONE (1) merit-based scholarship per Academic Year to Year Three student(s) in the BEng (Infrastructure and Project Management) or BSc (Project and Facilities Management) Programme. The Scholarship, valued at $6,000 per Academic Year, is to be awarded with effect from AY2018/2019. It is tenable for two years, subject to the student’s academic progress.

Woh Hup (Private) Limited donated an endowed gift of $150,000 to award at least one merit-based scholarship annually to a 3rd-year student in the BEng (Infrastructure and Project Management) or BSc (Project and Facilities Management) programme. The scholarship, valued at $6,000 per year, is to be awarded with effect from AY2011/12. It is tenable for two years, subject to the student’s academic progress.

The IFMA Foundation scholarship program has awarded more than $1.4 million dollars to more than  554 students since the program started in the early 1990’s. Scholarship recipients receive a cash award and fully subsidized  World Workplace conference travel, registration and participation.

The individual scholarships  range in value from $1,500 to $10,000 and are awarded to  undergraduate (2- year and 4-year)  and graduate students enrolled in facility management or FM related (built environment) programs.

These scholarships change lives and are a principal strategy in creating the next  generation of FM professionals. The Global Workforce Initiative explores the  expansion of scholarship opportunities to high school seniors, associate degree  students, and veterans.
