Course Objectives
The Programme provides an opportunity to upskill in the area of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the construction industry and built environment as well as to work in a more collaborative and integrated way for managing projects. You will learn about the fundamentals of BIM and other important aspects in contract management, project management and cost management. The Programme is suitable for individuals with construction and built environment background.
You will get to experience a real case project with the use of a set of BIM Model with 2D drawings and specifications. You will analyse the model to detect issues, perform BIM Quantification and produce the Bill of Quantities. At the end of the project, you will be required to produce a set of project deliverables.”
The Project is designed in two parts where Part A is for Construction Stage (Project Management), and Part B is for Tender Stage (Tender Submission).
Course Content
The 6-month Programme comprises 4 areas of upskilling, including one month of Human & Managerial Literacies (HML), one month of Data & AI Literacies (DAIL), three months of Professional & Technology Literacies (PTL) and two months of project work.

- HML (1 month)
- Professional Certificate in Human and Automated Managerial Skills (60 hrs)
- edX 1: Success: Practical Thinking Skills (20 hrs)
- DAIL (1 month)
- PC in Artificial Intelligence for Non-AI Scientists (42 hrs)
- edX 2: Data Science for Construction, Architecture and Engineering (24 hrs)
- PTL (3 months)
- PC in 5D BIM for Built Environment Professionals (Contract Management) (42 hrs)
- PC in 5D BIM for Built Environment Professionals (Project Management) (42 hrs)
- PC in Professional Certificate in 5D BIM for Built Environment Professionals (Cost Management) (42 hrs)
