What does your current job scope entail?
In BCA, I am tasked with the setting and facilitating of some procurement policies for construction-related consultancy services. For example, for the type of procurement approach, I oversee the Quality Fee Method (QFM) framework which is applicable for all public sector construction-related consultancy tenders.
I also help maintain the Public Sector Panels of Consultants, which registers firms that provides construction-related consultancy services and is adopted in conjunction with QFM for public agencies' procurement purposes.
I am also constantly engaging with both consultancy firms (service providers) and public agencies (clients) to understand any feedback they might have to identify any potential areas for review. This is so that our policies can constantly be updated to stay relevant for both public agencies and consultancy firms.
Being able to witness how a tweak in policy can help the built environment sector provides great meaning and satisfaction to me.

In this programme, I also developed soft skills on top of technical expertise that allowed me to excel in my work in terms of working effectively with multiple stakeholders and understanding the issues in the sector.
