Sustainable Buildings Cluster
The vision of the Sustainable Building Cluster is to advance research, education and development in a range of areas and topics (see figure below) in a holistic and integrated way. The key thrusts are climatic assessment of spaces and buildings, and green facilities management.
On smart building materials, our research focus can be summarized with the following diagram. In summary, our directions are in creating and using novel smart materials that can play the functions of cooling, cleansing, increasing acoustic performance and capturing and utilizing carbon dioxide.
