The Department of the Built Environment is delighted to share that Dr. Zhan Hanzhang from the Department of the Built Environment, supervised by Prof. Hwang Bon-Gang, has been awarded the 2025-2026 Award for Outstanding Overseas Study Elite (国家优秀自费留学生奖学金).
This award, established by the Chinese government in 2003, is a highly competitive global honour designed to recognise the academic excellence of self-financed Chinese students studying overseas. Only those with outstanding performance in their PhD studies or post-doctoral research are considered by the selection panel, and no more than 650 exceptional young talents are granted this award worldwide each year.
