Minor in Infrastructure Management and Finance

Jointly Offered by the Department of the Built Environment, Department of Real Estate and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

There is a huge infrastructure demand in Asia and beyond. Singapore is seeking to position itself as the infrastructure hub for Asia. There are opportunities for infrastructure professionals to manage and finance these assets.

The Minor in Infrastructure Management and Finance is open to all students in NUS.

Minor Requirements

Cohort 2018/19 and before

(24 Modular Units)

Cohort 2019/20 and onwards

(20 Modular Units)

To be awarded a Minor in Infrastructure Management and Finance (Minor), the student must pass a minimum of 6 courses (equivalent to 24 modular units [MUs]) from the list below. At least 4 courses (16 MUs) must be read outside a student’s own major requirements. Up to 2 courses (8 Modular Units) may be double-counted towards the Minor and student’s own major requirements.

4 non-major courses (16 Modular Units) + 2 major courses (8 Modular Units) = 24 Modualar Units

    (Pre-requisite: RE3701 Real Estate Investment Analysis)
  • CE3121 Transportation Engineering
    (Pre-requisite: CE2407 Engineering and Uncertainty Analysis)
  • CE4221 Design of Land Transport Infrastructures
    (Pre-requisite: CE3121 Transportation Engineering)

 

Note:

# CE2183 Construction Project Management is offered by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Faculty of Engineering (FoE). It is a recognised module in lieu of PF1101. Thus, students of B.Eng. (Civil) and B.Eng. (Environmental) (CCE) who read CE2183 will be able to use it to satisfy requirements of the Minor in Infrastructure Management and Finance, and their first Major in Faculty of Engineering (FoE).

* RE2706 Real Estate and Infrastructure Finance will be discontinued from AY2024/2025 onwards.
