A design project led by Associate Professor Hans Tan has been named one of the winners of the President’s Design Award 2023, Singapore’s highest design achievement accolades. 'R for Repair', an initiative of Hans Tan Studio, sets out to shine a spotlight on consumerism and redesign the act of repairing worn or broken objects into an inspiring and creative endeavour.

Professor Lam Khee Poh, Provost's Chair Professor of Architecture and the Built Environment, was an awardee of the “Outstanding Leadership Award” at the Education 2.0 Conference. The award is given in recognition of transformational work in the education arena.
Professor Chandra Sekhar was elected as the Vice-president of ASHRAE for 2023 to 2024. ASHRAE is a diverse organisation with more than 50,000 members from over 130 countries dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigerator to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world. https://www.ashrae.org/
Assistant Professor Jin Yueming (Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering) has been recognised with the First Prize in the Best Paper Award in the IJCARS-MICCAI 2021 Special Issue.
Professor Liu Bin has been named among the Asian Scientist 100, an annual honour roll of the region’s top researchers compiled by Asian Scientist Magazine.

The paper titled “Testing for non-linearity of agglomeration effects” (coauthored by Dr Anu Priya and Dr Dan Graham from Imperial College London and Assistant Professor Prateek Bansal) received the best paper award in the area of Transport Economics and Finance at the 17th World Conference of Transport Research held in Montreal, Canada. The conference is an initiative of the World Conference on Transport Research Society. The WCTR conference has been held every 3 years for almost 50 years.
Associate Professor Qiu Cheng Wei (Dean’s Chair Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) has been admitted as a Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET).

Associate Professor Kenneth G. Huang, Dean’s Chair and Academic Director, Master of Science in Management of Technology and Innovation, has recently been awarded the Management and Organization Review (MOR) Best Senior Editor Award. The Management and Organization Review (MOR) is the premier journal for ground-breaking insights about management and organizations in China and global comparative contexts. It is one of the Cambridge Core journals (Cambridge University Press) and the official journal of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), a premier scholarly association dedicated to the creation and dissemination of management knowledge with a focus on China.
Assistant Professor Yu Wei had been selected as one of the recipients of the Total Defence Awards 2023 - National Service (NS) Advocate Award for individuals. The TDA is the highest national accolade that recognises the exemplary support for NS from stakeholders, including individuals, small and medium enterprises, large companies and organisations.
Assistant Professor Shin Sunmi has been named among the Nanoscale 2023 Emerging Investigators by the journal Nanoscale, highlighting rising stars of nanoscience and nanotechnology research.
Professor Chow Gan-Moog, from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, was awarded the title of Emeritus Professor wef 1 July 2023.
