Empowering Young Adults Through Their Transition To Adulthood

Designed by : Shermaine Boh

Under the Supervision of Associate Professor R. Brian Stone.

KUDOS is a financial planning and literacy application that empowers young adults aged 18–23 years old to confidently achieve their financial goals. It alleviates the stress and anxiety faced by young adults who are struggling with their finances. KUDOS learns with you on your spending habits, creates awareness and amendments to your finances through recommendation and provides actionable steps to reach your goals. This results in a healthy, happy and secure future when they are in control with their money.
KUDOS as the word itself means to celebrate one’s achievement. It sets the tone for young adults who want to do more for their finances.

My exploration started with developing their financial literacy through brochure and activity based booklets. However I realised information should be paired with scenarios to enhance the visualisation of the cause and effect on their finances. This pointed me to the space of application as it allows different complexity of information and activities.
