Admission Intake, Application Period and Outcome
There is one (1) intake per academic year. Candidates will be admitted at the beginning of the August semester of the academic year. There is no intake for January.

Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with merit or second class honours, in relevant design discipline, or in an area related to the intended programme of study from an institution of recognised standing
- Candidates with other qualifications and achievements deemed to be suitably prepared for the programme of study may also be considered.
The above are minimum requirements which do not guarantee admission. Selection of candidates for admission is on a competitive basis.
English Language Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate their English proficiency by means of Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test scores.
The official TOEFL/IELTS score sheets must be provided during the online application periods, otherwise your application will not be considered.
To meet the English requirement, the minimum score expected is:
- TOFEL (Internet-based test): 85 or
- IELTS (Academic): 6.0
The TOEFL score or IELTS result is only valid for 2 years after the test and should be valid at the beginning of the application period.
Applicants may be waived from this requirement if they completed their degree programme taught entirely in English, situated in an English speaking country, for example (non-exhaustive list) Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States.
Other tests (including the TOEFL Institutional Test) and those that claim to be predictions, estimations, equivalents, simulations, etc. (e.g.MyBestscores), of the TOEFL or IELTS are unacceptable.
