Networking Sessions for Educators

Connect@CDE is a regular networking session with educators from pre-tertiary schools to learn more about CDE curriculum and undergraduate programmes and participate in discussions sessions on key topics.

The objectives of the networking sessions include:

Connect with educators to understand how CDE can better cater outreach activities to the school
Conduct CDE sharing sessions on topics of interest to educators regarding the College undergraduate curriculum and its programmes
Provide regular updates to educators on upcoming CDE outreach events

Embracing AI in Teaching and Learning for Design and Engineering at CDE (29 May 2026)

Forum Outline	How is Artificial Intelligence reshaping the way students learn, design, and solve problems in design, and engineering? What does this mean for teaching practices in secondary and pre-tertiary classrooms - and how does the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) embrace the changing teaching and learning environment? Join CDE faculty for an interactive forum exploring how AI is embedded into CDE’s teaching and learning practices, how it impacts design and engineering education, and how schools and teachers can better prepare students for an AI-enabled learning environment. This forum emphasizes dialogue and exchange, offering teachers the opportunity to ask questions, share classroom experiences, and engage in meaningful discussion with CDE faculty.

Preparing Students for Admissions & Scholarships in Architecture, Design, and Engineering at CDE (6 Nov 2025)

Forum Outline	What does the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) look for in students applying to Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design and Engineering? How can teachers guide students in preparing strong applications for aptitude-based admissions, Design Scholars Programme and Engineering Scholars Programme? Join us for an insightful session with our professors as they explore key questions on admissions for Architecture, Design, and Engineering at CDE including Aptitude-Based Admissions and Direct College Admissions. You will also gain valuable insights into the Design Scholars Programme and Engineering Scholars Programme, with guidance on scholarship applications. This interactive forum also offers teachers the opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, and engage in meaningful discussions during dedicated Q&A segments.
