Project 1 - edUstarz
Thesis
In collaboration with Nurtury In. and PCF SparkleTots Preschool edUstarz is an integrated theme-based learning resource that challenges the multiple intelligences of children aged 3-6 years old. The early years set a critical foundation for the child’s entire life and by exposing the child to all multiple intelligences, the child would have the opportunity to develop to the fullest potential. edUstarz is developmentally appropriate and encourages bonding between parent-child, allowing both to have joint attention span throughout the entire learning process.
Project 2 - Word Out
Group Project with Felicia Paul & Kelly Yap
In collaboration with Keio-NUS CUTE Center Developed primarily for preschoolers, Word Out teaches children the unconventional way of learning letters and spelling by engaging them in a fun and kinesthetic manner. Children use their creativity by coming up with different ways to experience and form the alphabets with their body. Word Out also creates opportunities for cooperative play as children work together to form the alphabets. Objects such as soft toys can also be used to fill up the form of the alphabet. Once a letter has been formed, a new letter will appear and eventually spelling an entire word. “Games for a purpose” category winner at Tier one Human Computer Interaction Conference, ACM CHI 2015
Project 3 - Tabaoware
Group Project with Sookyung Bae, Magdalene Huang &Yitian Mao
In collaboration with Tupperware Targeting Asian urban nuclear families living in micro-spaces, Tabao-ware is the smart way to store Asian food for later consumption. It allows for hassle-free separation and consumption of Asian food, especially noodle soup, retaining its taste even after long periods of time. Tabao-ware’s neat stacking mechanism allows soup to be stored in the bottom layer and noodles in the top layer, preventing noodles from becoming soggy. During consumption, the top layer can be twisted with a pair of chopsticks, into the bottom layer, allowing soup to gush through the noodles. Tabao-ware also serves as a strainer, microwave steamer, lunchbox and family food storage.
