Biography

Eu-wen is the co-founder and CEO of Lumos, a smart bike helmet company that has made waves in the cycling industry with its innovative products designed to enhance safety and visibility for urban cyclists.
Started as a side project to solve his own problem feeling unsafe as a cyclist, Lumos got its start as a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2015. Since then Lumos has gone on to be named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of the Year, one of Oprah’s Favorite Things, and the first helmet to be sold at MoMA and Apple stores.
Eu-wen’s expertise spans product development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. With a background in mechanical engineering and business, Eu-wen is skilled at bringing consumer products to market and scaling a company internationally.
Eu-wen holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University and was in the process of getting an MBA from Harvard Business School when he dropped out to start Lumos.

In his spare time, Eu-wen enjoys cycling, reading, hitting the gym, and the game Factorio.
