Central Workshop

The main aim of the Central Workshop is to provide fabrication services to support prototyping work of students, researchers and faculty members. It also supports the training of students in the use of machining tools and various other manufacturing processes.

The Central Workshop comprises a cluster of 3 fabrication facilities:

Engineering Fabrication Laboratory

The Engineering Fabrication Laboratory (also known as Fab Lab) is equipped with an array of equipment that are suitable for students’ prototyping work in their design projects such as 3D printers, a laser cutting machine, and a range of cutting and drilling machines.

Professional Workshop

The Professional Workshop offers more complex prototyping services. We are open to supporting fabrication jobs from researchers and external parties.

Locations: E3-01-06 and E3-B-06

Training Workshop

The Training Workshop provides machining services to support students’ prototyping work and also trains students in the use of common tools and machinery.

Location: E1A-01-06

The Central Workshop Service & Job Request Form has been replaced by the Electronic Central Workshop (EDIC) request form, students are to email their requests to the cdebox60@nus.edu.sg.
