“TE AI Cup with Global Collaborations” by Roberto Lu VP of Technology TE Connectivity US Headquarters |
20 January 2025 (Monday), 10.30am – 12pm Venue: E1A-06-21/22 - ISEM Conference Room |
ABSTRACT
This seminar introduces the TE AI Cup, a global collaboration with universities. TE AI Cup students focus on real-world Artificial Intelligence practices in TE. This presentation highlights a few AI technologies utilized to solve the real-world manufacturing challenges. For example, the Purdue University team leveraged deep learning neural network and diffusion transformer model to analyze production line operations that enhanced manufacturing efficiency. The Georgia Tech team employed the Improved ResNet50 model and the SVM-based classification method to inspect the very challenging tiny defects on the PCB products. The University of Washington team utilized the Long Short-term Memory (LSTM) model to optimize the tubing process parameters for improving product quality. This presentation shares successful collaboration with universities, featuring a partnership example with Georgia Tech. The speaker will also introduce other means for researchers to collaborate with TE. |
