Tang Yuen Seng Prize

In 2016, Mr CC Tang donated an expendable sum of S$15,000 to the College of Design and Engineering to establish three prizes annually in honour of his late father, Mr Tang Yuen Seng. The award is governed by the following conditions:

1. Subject to rule 3 below, the award will be given to the student with the best overall GPA in each of the three Master of Science programmes offered by the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering & Management, namely,
   1. Master of Science in Management of Technology and Innovation (formerly known as Management of Technology),
   2. Master of Science in Systems Design & Management, and
   3. Master of Science in Intellectual Property Management.
2. Each award consists of $500 Singapore Dollars and is given to the students in the form of cash.
3. No award shall be made if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
4. The prizes will be awarded by the Board of Graduate Studies or its nominee.
5. If there are no awards presented at any given year, the unutilised amount will be added back to the fund.
6. This gift shall be governed by the University Statutes and Regulations, specifically, Statute 7 on Gifts to the University and the corresponding Regulation.
