Top Scientists 2025 by Research.Com

We are delighted to announce that two of our faculty staff members, Emeritus Professor Ang Beng Wah and Dr Su Bin, are ranked among the world’s Top Scientists in 2025 by Research.Com (https://research.com/). This 4th edition of the ranking contains the h-index, publications, and citation values collected on 27th November 2024.

The 4th edition of Top Scientists ranking list includes 166,880 scientists for 23 disciplines, including Animal Science and Veterinary, Biology and Biochemistry, Business and Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Ecology and Evolution, Economics and Finance, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Immunology, Law and Political Science, Materials Science, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Medicine, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Physics, Plant Science and Agronomy Psychology, Social Sciences and Humanities. The inclusion criteria for scholars to be considered for the ranking of top scientists are based on the discipline h-index, the proportion of the contributions made within the given discipline, in addition to the awards and achievements of the scientists. This ensures that the top 1% of leading scientists are considered to be in the ranking.

Emeritus Professor Ang Beng Wah, under the Economics and Finance discipline, holds a prestigious National Ranking (Singapore) of 1st, and placed as 248th under the World Ranking; while Dr Su Bin, under the same discipline, has also achieved a prominent National Ranking (Singapore) of 3rd, and placed as 612th under the World Ranking. Professor Ang also holds 5th (National Ranking) and 421st (World Ranking) under the Engineering and Technology discipline.

They have both been awarded the Economics and Finance in Singapore Leader Award 2025.
