Applying Futures Thinking in Design Thinking Process
Design Thinking was derived from user-centred design methodology where design challenges are often driven by current trends, human behaviours and constraints. This approach to problem solving has limitations when addressing issues beyond the existing and into the projected future. Leveraging on Futures Thinking, we can create solutions that are more resilient to potential change and even play an active role in shaping the future.
