Course Registration and Workload Guidelines
You must register for your elective courses before the start of each semester through the Course Registration at Education Records System (Course@EduRec).
- The typical workload for each semester is 20 Units (usually equivalent to 5 courses).
- You may overload to 23 Units without special approval. Any workload beyond 23 Units requires special approval.
- Please note that NUS has a minimum workload of 18 Units. For more information, click [HERE].
Please refer to your recommended timetable schedule and ensure you adhere to the course registration timeline.
If you are enrolled in any of the following special programmes, you are pre-approved for an overload of up to 27 Units:
- Double Degree Programmes
- University Scholars Programme (USP)
- NUS College
- Engineering Scholars Programme (ESP)
- Other special programmes
