Research Courses

Our research-based degree programmes incorporate a coursework component as part of the academic requirements. MEng and PhD students are required to read at least 4 and 6 graduate-level courses, respectively. International students who present basic degrees from universities where the medium of instruction is not English would need to fulfil additional English language requirements .

A minimum of average grade of B- (GPA 3.0) needs to be obtained by MEng students, while doctoral students need to achieve at least a B+ (GPA 3.5) average. Students must obtain a satisfactory grade for the doctoral seminar.

Research Core Courses

Each graduate course listed is assigned 4 units. To complete coursework requirements, the MEng candidate is to read 4 courses while the PhD candidate is required to read 6 courses from the following or otherwise as approved.
