Fees and Financial Information

The tuition fees are reviewed by the University and adjusted periodically to reflect the approximate cost of providing education to students. Therefore, the University reserves all rights to review fees as necessary and adjust accordingly without prior notice.

MSc in BME programme is launched as a self-funded graduate programme and therefore, this programme is not eligible for Staff Concession.

For student matriculating in AY 2025/2026 

The tuition fees payable (inclusive of GST) is illustrated below. This is only for new students matriculating in AY 2025/2026. Payment schedule due on the first week of every semester is as follows:

  • The fees listed are in Singapore Dollars and inclusive of 9% Good and Service Tax respectively. Due to the recent announcement of an increase in GST as of 1 Jan 2024 (9%), the tuition fees will be adjusted accordingly on 1 Jan 2024.
  • The fees listed are in Singapore Dollars and inclusive of Good and Service Tax (GST).
  • A non-refundable application fee of S$100 (exclusive of GST) must accompany your online application.
  • Payment of fees will be on an instalment basis, paid over 2 semesters for full-time students and (up to) 4 semesters for part-time students. Complete fee must be paid before a student can graduate from the programme.
  • Students need to separately pay for Mandatory Miscellaneous Fee (MMF) directly to the University on a semester basis. Fees are reviewed annually. For the latest Miscellaneous student fees, please refer to Registrar’s Office website here.
  • Acceptance Fee of S$5,000 (exclusive of GST) is payable upon acceptance into the programme.  Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Programme fees do not include the cost of recommended textbooks and readings.
  • The cost of travel, accommodation and miscellaneous expenses are not included and are to be borne by the participant.

Scholarship

The National University of Singapore Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII), a collaboration between NUS, the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, and the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Administrative Committee, is the university’s flagship initiatives in the Greater Bay Area.

 

NUS GRTII Master’s Scholarship (NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute).

This merit scholarship, sponsored by the Huangpu District Government of Guangzhou, China, aims to develop talent for the Greater Bay Area of China. The Scholarship will support the students from the affiliated masters’ programmes at NUS. Scholarship recipients are required to sign a Service Bond Agreement, with an obligation to work for at least two years in the Huangpu District of Guangzhou after graduation. One award of S$45,000 toward tuition will be granted to each scholarship recipient. Students interested in being considered for this scholarship should write to uprbox34@nus.edu.sg with relevant information including his/her name, contact (mobile number in both Singapore and China), and intention to apply for the Scholarship of which Master Programme.
