MSc Curriculum and Tuition Fees
Graduation Requirements
The MSc Programme in Biomedical Engineering has been designed to bridge evolving needs of both research and industrial organisations.
To qualify for the degree Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, a full-time or part-time candidate must successfully complete a programme of study consisting of at least 40 MCs, which consists of the following:
- Complete the 2 core modules from the Core Modules list (8 MCs)
- Choose 8 elective modules from the Elective Modules list (32 MCs)
NUS students having completed NUS undergraduate degree programmes are allowed to do credit transfers up to 10 MCs, subject to approval.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the full programme is S$42,800 (inclusive of GST). Payment schedule due on the first week of every semester is as follows:
- The fees listed are in Singapore Dollars (S$) and inclusive of 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- A non-refundable application fee of S$50 (inclusive of 7% GST) must accompany your online application.
- Payment of fees will be on an instalment basis, paid over 2 semesters for full-time students and (up to) 4 semesters for part-time students. Complete fee must be paid before a student can graduate from the programme.
- Students need to separately pay for Mandatory Miscellaneous Fee (MMF) directly to the University on a semester basis. Fees are reviewed annually. For the latest Miscellaneous student fees, please refer to Registrar’s Office website here.
- Acceptance Fee of S$2,140 is payable upon acceptance into the programme. Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Programme fees do not include the cost of recommended textbooks and readings.
- The cost of travel, accommodation and miscellaneous expenses are not included and are to be borne by the participant.
