Congratulations to Mr Yeo Joo Chuan for being conferred the MRS-S Graduate Student Award at ICMAT 2017 attended by over 2,300 delegates. Joo Chuan is a PhD student of Prof Lim Chwee Teck and works on wearable microfluidic sensors. The “2017 MRS-S Graduate Student Award” endeavours to honour and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and materials research showcase a high level of excellence and distinction. The Awards are conferred to students with exceptional ability and who exhibit potential for significant future achievements in materials research. Joo Chuan’s research work was shortlisted to present to an international panel of judges and was favourably selected as one of the five recipients of the MRS-S Graduate Student Award.
