The BME Safety Committee organized their 3rd annual Safety Day last Thursday. This year’s event saw an increase in the number of registrants (>200 staff and students). We had two guest speakers: Mr Leong Chee Meng from OSHE (Office of Safety, Health and Environment) who delivered a talk on the importance of reporting workplace accidents and also surprised some in the audience with footage of accidents; Ms Karen Ang from HPB (Health Promotion Board) who shed light on the names in nutrition labels and engaged the audience with an elastic band workout.
