The medal honours Professor Eric Reissner, a renowned mechanics scholar who spent nearly 60 years at MIT and UC San Diego, inspiring and educating generations of students in theoretical, applied, and computational mechanics.
This prestigious award recognizes Professor Lim’s contributions to mechanics, mechanobiology, and engineering science, and his continued efforts to advance the understanding of how mechanical principles can be used to study human diseases as well as address important challenges in healthcare.
