Prof Zhang Yong’s two papers published in Nature Communications

Professor Zhang Yong and his team have published two papers in Nature Communications. They designed core-shell upconversion nanoparticles with much enhanced and tuneable luminescence emission. Upconversion nanoparticles have been widely used for bioimaging, bioassays, optogenetics and phototherapy. However, their applications are limited by weak fluorescence and untuneable color.
