Dr Brian Premchand is a neuroscientist focused on advancing brain-machine interfaces to improve clinical outcomes and enhance human capabilities. For seven years, he has conducted medtech and neuroscience research at the Institute for Infocomm Research, including contributing to the RESTORES project, which successfully helped two participants with spinal cord injuries walk again.

Dr Brian Premchand is currently seconded to Universal Health, where he build machine-learning models that predict mental-health states and deliver personalised insights. Looking ahead, he aims to continue—and eventually lead—research in neurotechnology to improve healthcare for neurological conditions and make such technologies more accessible.
